The Black Pond project was developed in collaboration with our local partner Scotian Windfields within the context of the “Community feed in tariff program”. Project planning commenced in 2012, and project development work lasted for about two years.
The facility is located south east of the city of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Black Pond was designed to utilize the same grid line for interconnection as well as use the same overhead pole line to run both circuits for Little River & Black Pond.
This 1.99-megawatt project consists of one turbine.
